I am glad you enjoyed this exhibition. The show has been getting a great response both locally and internationally. It would be neat if you provided your readers with links back to the show, artist, or gallery. Also I should mention that Greg’s last name is also misspelled in the fourth paragraph.

Hi Jeff:

You are correct. The dummy in the picture above is not Howdy Doody, but the marionette on the bed frame I was referring to is indeed Howdy Doody.

it wasn’t opaque paper, it was actually a simple mixture of epsom salts and beer.

Hi there, thank you for posting the photo. I’d like to invite you to Garry-Lewis’ One Dog Show at Paul Petro Gallery, 962 Queen Street West, Toronto, opening on Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

It’s called: I’m Worth a Million In Prizes

and is a tribute to Garry’s muse Iggy Pop

Garry-Lewis James Osterberg creates sculptural works that exude an air of spontaneity and expressivity. Although formally complex, his works remain sensitive and intimate befitting the artist’s personal sense of scale. GLJO’s unique approach to artmaking suggests an almost ghoulish admixture of Alberto Giacometti with Jeff Koons. – Christopher Eamon, NYC, 2009

Garry-Lewis James Osterberg was born in 2002 in Quebec. This is his first solo exhibition.

I wouldn’t disagree with that. I had a few chuckles looking at the work myself. Perhaps, it is just I that see their form of play as cynical and sarcastic.
